Educational Excellence

Midland Supports Wide Range of Learning Opportunities

Business success depends upon an educated workforce, and Midland County outranks the U.S. average for the number of adults over 25 with associates, bachelor’s and graduate degrees or higher. Midland has more resident engineers and chemists per capita than any other community in the Midwest.

Educational opportunities begin in the County’s four public school districts and seven private schools, and continue with three universities right in Midland and others within 30 minutes’ drive. Several STEM initiatives at the public school level and numerous workforce development programs at the post-secondary level support technical education and workforce readiness.
